The Saturday started off with a sleep in the morning. Came home at about 10am after a day duty. After a short 1 hour rest, I took some time to make up myself to look as good as I can using that 30minutes time. I was happy with the end results.
Met up with Kenny, Yoke Hung, Kenneth, Jack, Marcus and Varun. It has been a LONG LONG time since we have FULL STRENGTH(6 of us) going out. I was so glad that all were present. It was pity that a few couldn't make it at the very last minute though.
Had PARISS High Tea Buffet as our lunch. Cosy setting and romantic ambience was what i experienced then. The food served ranges from western to chinese and local delicacies. It does not have a wide range of food but I would say it satisfactory,only. Perhaps I have a higher expectation for paying $21.80nett.
After a satisfactory late lunch, we went to chill out. It was impromteu. We played pool! It was fun but not really that fun. Skill was rusty. It was expensive and short. Luckily we didn't play for long. A once-in-a-while should be fine.
In short, I was glad to meet them up and that short catch-up with them is enough to bridge the 'gap' between us. I really hope to meet up with them for at least once every 2 months, taking into account the fact that we are busy with ARMY! Haha. Yoke and Kenny is enlisting next week, which explains why the meet up. We want to meet up before they enlist. Hope they cope well in that island. Left them at about 6plus.
Went to Cafe Cartel Marina Square to meet FMP2 army mates. Had our dinner with the rest of the 10 people. It was my first time going out with so many guys. I would say it was heart-warming and fun. Fun shooting with Gabriel on random issues with regards to camp politics with the usage of bitchy accent.
Walked aimlessly and the next thing I know was we were at the top of Esplanade. Took some landscape night shots. Went to ONE FULLERTON for a drink.
In the nutshell, I just love the ambience at OVEREASY pub. Cosy, 1-for1, catching up, poilitics, fun, nice scenery, windy, relaxing, photos, cheeky, bitching, smiles etc are words that I can think of. A pity that some of them couldn't make it for this MASS OUTING! More to come, I really hope. Supper with cousin at Henderson Teochew Porridge after that. Home sweet home at 1.15am.
Alright, I am going to stop typing as I feel the urge to jump,literally, on my cosy bed. Haha. Need more rest as I am out the whole afternoon with my DARLINGS! Shall update on Tuesday!
But before ending this entry, I wanna express something, and that is about the General Election 2011. I was fascinated by the intense competition between the PAP's and the oppositions. To speak the truth, I am very surprise by the opposition this year.
Most gave QUALITY speeches with rational proposals on certain issues that affects the fellow Singaporeans. They are the daring ones who speak the hearts out of Singaporeans who were not in favour of the government. Ovation to their rallies so far. More to come, please.
Perhaps the current situation and economy of Singapore gives the opposition opportunity to challenge the government. Issues such as inflation are high property prices are dominant issues are arec constantly harped on. I would say its quite a serious issue to us Singaporeans.
Actually, the rising cost of living is unfavourable to us Singaporeans. No one dares to speak up. No shows the strong drive to them on the negative impact on us due to the inflation this year. The opposition now are there to speak up for us. I am glad that they have to answer to this.
On the contrary, so much for the opposition, I contradicted myself and landed myself in a state of dilemma. I am still quite in favour of PAP as without them, I wouldn't be having a contented life right now. Their rallies are as HIGH QUALITY as the oppositions. This brings the competition to another level of excitement.
This week will be so exciting. Newspapers and the media will be telecasting and producing informations on the GE 2011! I will be following closely, I promise.
Aljunied GRC, is comoeting VERY VERY intensely! My friends staying there are all in dilemma as they think both parties are equivalent and has its own strengths. Both have their points to support themselves. WP VS PAP! We shall see....
Alright, I shall end here. I am suprised that I am quite enthusiatic about the GE this year. Perhaps it concerns me presently and in the future. Haha. I guess its a good thing. Ok, thanks for viewing. I have enjoyed my weekend! Bye...
