Hey, last post before next book in, which is tonight. Haha. This 4 days passed in just a blink while 4 days in camp is like a decade. Haha.
Met up with some platoon mates yesterday evening for a movie. Prince Of Persia is a 4 star movie i guess. Action persisted from the beginning all the way till the end. This is the kind of movie that i think i worth watching. Story line is good as it kept us thinking. Good show!
But before movie, had JUST ACIA for dinner. We waited for 20 minutes to get settled down as the business were really good. Full house! But it was YUM YUM!

After a good movie, we passed by this section which attracted Wee Hao. Its the 'catch the bear' section. Wee Hao is good at catching those stuffs. After spending some money to 'catch' those plushie(if there is such word), Wee Hao made a new friend. He hit it off with this assistant of the shop and we were given benefits. He gave us more credits and helped us in many ways to get those toys. Haha. And i have gotten myself a Doraemon! Everyone got something for themselves. But we spend quite a lot on it also. Haha! Pictures are scattered as i have problems with blogger. Sigh.
Booking in tonight again. This routine is seriously a headache to me. Hate the feeling lots! But well have to suck it up! SIT TEST this coming Saturday. Be back on Monday night! See ya!

Hello. Am back once again. This week has been relatively short as we its only 3 days in Tekong. Its endurable as i have got 4 days of off day after these 3 days of endurance in camp.
Tuesday was quite tiring as we had IPPT in the early morning. Activities such as SOC and BCCT were held in later part of the day. It was tiring indeed. However, the next day was quite relaxing with PC interview occupying most of the day. The night ended with a hair cut, which made most people, including me, feel unhappy about it. Haha. But i am ok now.
Thursday is book out day! Feeling anticipated! Booked out at 6.30pm that day. Booking in on monday at 8.55pm. I guess this is the best and longest break we will ever have. SIT TEST is on next Saturday. Sigh. Well, i am glad to have a long break! Thank you so much OC!
Met up with Marcus Jack and Yoke yesterday! Its ok to bridge the gap between us and i am glad that we are still kinda close. Had Crystal Jade for dinner! Shiok!
Met up with Elis after that. She is leaving for Australia to pursue her Accountancy degree. 4 years in total. I guess i wouldn't be seeing her often. Wish her all the best man! May send her off on the 8th of June as i will be out from Tekong.
I think i seriously look like a Malay yesterday with that cap and my outfit. Haha! Anyway, its Sunday already. Time seriously flies really fast. Booking in tomorrow night.
Going out with platoon mates for a movie later. Oh ya, I am going for a Taiwan trip after POP for 6 days with my platoon mates. I seriously hope that will be a good incentive for me to endure the tough 4 weeks ahead before my POP.
As for field camp, i seriously dun wish to write about it anymore. Its the past bad experience. Shall let it passed man. Haha!
Shall end here. All e best to u guys. Take care! =)

Hello guys, it has been 2 weeks already. Haven't been blogging for 2 weeks due to my confinement week for field camp last week. Now, i am going to sum up my experience in field camp from 15-20May due to time constraint. Booking in at 5.45pm later. There is a 8km March to the camp site on the first day. It was quite tiring walking 8km to the camp site with an exceptionally heavy field pack. After reaching, we were very tired but were to told to build our bashas asap within 15 minutes. Unfortunately, we didn't manage to. Luckily, given a second chance, we did it and were straight. After lunch, lots of platoon 3 fell out as they couldn't take the heat anymore. Luckily OC gave us a 1 hour rest, if not i will feel sucky too. The whole day was just fatigue. Second day, i believe most felt better as we had some rest. Urban Operations were taught with many resting hours in between. However, it rained and our bashas were all wet. It rain in the morning on the 3rd day, making me so 'emo'. I miss home then.Set off to another camp site on the 3rd day to dig shell scrape. It was a terrible experience as it is damn shag and my heat rash is irritating me throughout. Day 4 is a day where we learn fire drills. I think that it was really fun and intresting. Firing blanks make the whole process so real! And day 5 is another day where we do the fire drill test.It seems really very 'fun' but what make the whole thng so tough is the endurance of dirty mud and rain. It rain 4 nights, and is heavy rain every morning, making our journey down to gathering area so difficult. I fell down a couple of times on my way down the slippery and muddy ground. On the last day, the afternoon rain was really bad. Platoon 1 and 3 were sitting under the rain all drenched badly. But then, we know its only 1 day. The last night were so enjoyable as we did our field cooking. The warm noodle soup made my day seriously. I didn't know Maggie Noodles taste that good then. Haha. Sadly, it rained again after finishing the noodles! Came back all muddy and dirty. Cleaned our rifle the whole day after that. Slept instantly when i was in the bed. Overall i got to say is, there are parts where i enjoy and parts that i hate it lots. The rain is seriously a big big hindering factor that makes me feel so emo and sian when i was in the camp site. But well, all these are over for me!Seriously sum up a lot on my field camp, omitting some highlights. Will mention on the next post if i have the time. I need to get a 1 hours nap now as i am very tired.Booking in on Thursday! Woohoo! 3 days only! See ya =)Labels: Its over

Hello my blog. I am back once again to blog. Blogging has become my weekly routine since i was enlisted into army. I like to gather my thoughts that has happened in NS for each week. For week 9, i thought it was a real LONG week! Why did i say so? Perhaps i was comparing to week 8, which passed in a blink. Week 8 Quebec company did not do any PT at all but just shoot and cleaning rifle. Week 9 is quite tough in a sense that we did lots of stuffs in this week. We were introduced to SOC which seems fun but it was really difficult, especially for those who is afraid of heights! For me, i just need more practice and i should be ok. Well, i am not aiming for anything for SOC, just wanna complete it.Next up, we had our first BCCT. It was quite fun! Good that we have some basic combat skills for self protection. Here is the more negative things happened in camp this week. On Thursday, X was our CDS. Every single time when X is the CDS, the 5 BX is always very tiring. Very very tiring. In addition, before AGR, we had a very vigorous warm up. A 40 minutes warm up. All i heard was, "like to wipe your sweat right, whole lot half left down." I just hate the phrase. I felt a little ridiculous for that. I know where X is coming from, which is to be discipline. However, i felt that discipline should not be instilled in this way. At least not in warm up, perhaps on drills or parade in that sense. I was shagged before the run. I knew IPPT will be bad on Friday.Talking about IPPT, as usual, didn't manage to pass. I am still far from pass to be specific. I promised myself to do chin up regime with my platoon mates next week before sleep. Other station i manage to maintain the standard if not improve a little. Hope i wouldn't get RT. My 2.4km run i ran 11 minutes and 20 seconds, a 15 seconds improvement. Next IPPT, which is this coming week, i will maintain it!Oh, this week, we had our first 6km route march. The first 4km was surprisingly ok. However, after the rest time, the remaining 2km was quite tiring. Overall, it was not as bad as i have expected. Keep it up man.Yeah, this coming week will NOT be a short one. In fact, it will be a VERY VERY LONG one. Reason being my field camp falls on 15 May to 21 May. Hence, my weekend will be burned. However, after field camp, we will be having a holiday in lieu. With Vesak Day on Friday, rest day will be quite sufficient!Ok, end of army topic. Just pray for me that my field camp will go on smoothly!(cross fingers). Will be booking out on tuesday for dental appointment for Braces, yeah!Today is MOTHERS DAY. Its so coincident that my Mum's Birthday is today.
We had a celebration last Sunday as this weekend is a confinement week for Bro. Celebrated last Sunday. Later on, will be going out with my mum and dad to celebrate one more time as i wouldn't be back home for 2 weeks. A few words about my mum. Seriously, i am very glad to be her son. She always do her part as a mum, making good soup for me every time i need it. She gives me faith in everything and believes in me. A good character person, she teaches me to be one as well. In the nutshell, i love her lots!
Taken on College Day! To me, my family is really very important. I dun mind spending the whole weekends with them as they are my pillar of support. I treasure them lots!Shall end here, be back in 2 weeks time. Luckily i catch IP MAN 2 yesterday. It was AWESOME. So much better than IRON MAN. Haha. This confinement will be REAL long man. Sigh. Wish me luck ya? Take care people. The weather is HOT. Drink more water ok. All the best for now =)Labels: Field camp confinement

Currently sitting at a nearby Internet Cafe to post my weekly post. My com is down for repair as its faulty. Just came back from a temple that i will go annually to pray for smooth year, especially for results. And here i am blogging. Let's begin. This week is a busy week for Quebec company. Its the range week. To me, i felt that time flies really quickly. Perhaps we are occupied with lots of things. On Monday, Yankee and Zulu Coy came in. I felt that its more happening. IMT was enjoyable as we got 'play' with computerise SAR-21. The practice round was bad for me but it was ok for the test, although i didn't get Marksman for it. Had a short break in the gathering area and next, back to Rocky Hill Camp for arms drill. Tuesday was a day that we had STAND BY BED. It was hell bad as the commanders kept finding dust and unclean areas in our bunks. Sigh. We got to sleep at 10.30pm on Tuesday and have to wake up at 4.45am to get ready for RANGE on Wednesday morning. The day was seriously long man. Sit on the bench for umpteen hours till my butt is in pain. In the nutshell, i was seriously very nervous(as we are dealing with real rounds) for the life firing till the extent i did something wrong. Fortunately that was just the zeroeing round and i am spared.(Phew!) Ended everything at 1.30am and i am deadbeat. Luckily, i came back with a Marksman with 26/32(just nice). I nearly miss the Marksman. Slept for 2 hour plus that night! What a tiring day.Next day, we clean our rifle for the WHOLE DAY! From after breakfast till RO. LOL! Friday arms drill in the morning. I felt that we didn't march very well that day as we were quite tired. However, i believe that we will do better the next drill. The day ended quickly with a stand by bed. I felt the week is fast but well some says that it is damn slow. Its an interesting week for me as never had i thought that i will be able to try it. Its not bad actually when i think of it although its scary. Ok, on a more positive note, i have received 2 letters. One from NTU and one from NUS. I smiled when i see the NUS letter saying that i am accepted to study ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCE. Well, i know that many people yearn to go to this course. Lets see what NTU offers me.I am quite confident that its FASS(Econs). However, i was SHOCKED to see its not. I got into BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES. This is my 5th choice for NTU. I am quite disappointed as i didn't get into the course that i actually wanted. In conclusion, i guess its due to my GP. Varun got into that course with 76 points. How can i not get in right?Well, i see whether i can appeal. If not, i will be hanging there for some time to think which course to go in. There are many aspects to consider now, which makes me in a dilemma. I need assistance from my benefactor tuition teacher. Now, i am quite 'sian' with the fact that i need to give up on a course of my choice. This is NO JOKE as my future lies in the course that i am going to study in uni. Any recommendation? At least, i feel proud of myself. My dream has come true. I did the right choice to take the JC route as instructed by benefactor. Its a great accomplishment for a N(a) student who only took elementary subjects and struggled through demanding JC curriculum. Come to think of it, its pure HARD WORK and DILIGENCE. Also, thanks to the lovely teachers in SR. Of course, myself for pushing as hard as i can. This route is not easy for me. I suffered discrimination for poor command of language and many more but luckily, in the final battle, i got to stand up right and hence do well. Shall end here. Watched IRON MAN 2 with Platoon mates this morning. Think its not that fantastic. I only give 6/10 for that show as i felt it was a little draggy.
Back for more for BMT phase. 9 more weeks to go. Can't wait. =)
