Ok, bascially i am a part timer(Promoter for itti & otto ladies shoes)whose job is perhaps just to serve the customer and ASSIST the full timer in their paper work. My job is to get the right shoe model, colour and size for the customers and push(by using words to manipulate their mind) as much as i can for the ultimate aim. which is to buy our shoes. Its not an easy job as customers can be very demanding, picky and annoying at times. But all these are not an issue as i am able to endure as time passes and treat it as an eye opener and as an experience working in the sales line.
I was station in the best outlet for my brand, which is in Raffles City Robinsons. This is where i work after my O levels as well. I thought its the same as before but i was wrong. Everything has changed including the layout and the staffs. No more friendly staffs were present. My favourite Aunty Ann has been transferred to other outlets. Well, just have to endure it.
I have got to admit that the manager is kind enough to locate me at this outlet as the sales is pretty good. Its kinda easy to sell shoes there, targetting mostly office ladies. Some are really amicable and easy to communicate with. Best of all, some are pretty(Oops!). I think that my skills in handling customers have improved tremendously, receiving very good comments from customers. Its really heart warming that they write to the manager about my good service and all. That shows that i have not wasted my time here working. At least Stan has more 'substance'now! Haha(Sorry not boasting, just sharing how i felt)
Internally, things are not so pleasant. I have got a warning letter from the floor manager for using hp in sales floor(Dun give a damn). Next, in December during sales period, i was told to do memo(write all shoes article, colour, size and price sold) and cut stock! It was really annoying that i have to do all. One day when i cannot take it, i told the supervisor named Keng that i think its their job to do. He rebutted to me that it was the boss's instruction that the part timers must do it instead of full timers. I have not choice but to listen to the 'order'
Yes, the part timers can share the workload but not doing it ENTIRELY! I am here to ASSIST and not doing ALL the job. Assist is the word to use! I felt that i was being bullied by him but i kept it all to myself, having in mind that i am station at the best outlet earning lots of commission.
However, last 2 weeks ago, this rountine was so so annoying that i couldn't take it anymore. I had enough. When i can't finish the paper work, i have got to bring it home to finish it. Its like HOMEWORK! I am like WTF! I am no longer a student currently and i have to 'clear up this mess'? No logic.right? And for goodness sake, i am NOT PAID for bringing home to finish the job, whereas for full timers, at least they got to get bonus and received higher wage than me. This issue makes me so frustrated!
Something puzzled me, is it really the boss's instruction for me to do ALL the paper work? Can't finish must bring home to do? So i called up the boss to ask the questions and to clear all my concerns! In the nutshell, he didn't mention anything to Keng but highlight that we should share the workload. At the better side, he said that he will add a few more hours of OVERTIME wage for me. I shall see. Well, issue was solved then.(since i am not working for long)
I think that Keng's attitude really sucks. He even say that i disrespect him for coming at wrong timing, WTF! And the thing is, whatever i am supposed to do, i have done my very best and definitely not let anyone down! He dun have the right to comment me, whereas the fact is he is really a damn lousy and F tard-in-charge!!
Ok enough, i know i am very bad, but just wanna churn out all my discomfort! I feel better now and best of all, yesterday was my last day of work! All these craps are GONE, Gone and gone... Its time to prepare for Chinese New Year and also NS, which is making me a little nervous!
